The Ottawa Community Foundation (OCF) has developed this application for time-sensitive, unforeseen needs or emerging opportunities that cannot wait until the next grant cycle. Examples might include urgent community crises, critical gaps in service delivery, or unique opportunities for impact that must be acted upon quickly.
Purpose of the Funding: This program is designed to support community organizations facing time-sensitive, urgent needs or emerging opportunities that require immediate action.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify, applications must:
- Be submitted by a Qualified Donee or a Charitable Partnership structure.
- Primarily benefit Ottawa residents.
- Demonstrate that the need or opportunity is unforeseen and cannot wait until the Spring 2025 CGP application period.
- Demonstrate that the requested support will make a meaningful difference in addressing the need or supporting the opportunity.
Note: This funding does not cover routine needs or predictable operational expenses.
Application Process:
- There is no deadline; applications will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout Fall and Winter 2025.
- Interested organizations should complete a brief inquiry form, after which our Grants Team will follow up within two weeks.
Funding Amounts:
While applications for any amount will be considered, funds for this are limited and we expect most support to be under $15,000.
