Qualified applicants are invited to consider the following opportunity to join a dynamic and entrepreneurial organization. The position will appeal to a financial executive with strong investment knowledge and interest in scaling the OCF’s social finance and social enterprise work.  


DIRECTOR, FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION

Reporting  directly to the President and CEO, this position is critical to the success of the organization, working to instil confidence that the OCF is known for impact, careful stewardship and attractive to current and potential stakeholders.  As a member of the management team, the director bears the primary responsibility for planning and leading the finance and investment-related initiatives necessary to advance the OCF’s role as a city builder and thought leader. You will lead a team that includes a comptroller, two associates and an assistant. The team’s responsibilities include: 

– financial planning and administration; 

– compliance with legal and regulatory requirements of all levels of government; 

– development and implementation of the Foundation’s IT strategy; and 

– negotiation and implementation of the staff benefits plan. 

Your responsibilities include supporting the work of the Foundation’s world-class Investment Committee, an enviable Finance and Audit Committee and a strategic Impact Investing Committee. You are also the OCF’s Chief Privacy Officer. 

You have a proven record of superior management and leadership skills especially in a team environment, CPA designation, at least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, an orientation to internal customer service, transactional excellence,  proven financial and investment management expertise at a senior level, ability to work with complex computer programs, understanding of the voluntary sector and its governance and an ability to work effectively with high caliber volunteers. Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
