The Elisabeth Arnold Plant Pool Fund helps low-income families by paying fees for children’s swimming lessons and lifeguard instruction at the Plant Recreation Centre. The Fund was established in 2004 in recognition of Elisabeth Arnold, the city councillor who helped get the historic recreation centre rebuilt, expanded and re-opened.
