Kim Rabot Memorial Fund was established to create a legacy for a warm, intelligent, and spirited young woman who graced the halls at Glebe Collegiate until her untimely passing in 1975. As a new Canadian (her family emigrated to Canada from Sri Lanka), Kim was an excellent listener and friend with plans to continue to university after her Grade 13 year.
To commemorate Kim’s life and many qualities, the Kim Rabot Memorial Award is given annually to a student graduating from Glebe Collegiate who has plans for further academic study. The award honours Kim by being gifted to a student who has demonstrated team spirit, dedication, and a strong work ethic. Like Kim, the annual recipient enjoys helping others succeed, realizes the importance of being a good listener and friend, and has a good academic standing.
