The King Boloko Memorial Foundation was set up by King’s family and friends to honour his memory.
The son of Reverend Oscar Boloko and Annie Boloko-Nafulu, King was a caring son and brother who was deeply involved with his church and community. A dedicated athlete who loved football, King was inducted into the East Ottawa Generals’ Hall of Fame in 2005. He also enjoyed music and art.
The fund supports initiatives and projects that help prevent teenage drownings by raising the level of water safety awareness. It also aims to provide opportunities for low-income students to take swimming lessons and improve their water safety skills.
