Working collaboratively with the OCF over the past two decades, the donor has provided grants to a number of organizations whose work reflects her interests in bringing about sustainable, transformative change. In the early days of the fund, this support included small start-up projects. As the relationship between the Foundation and the donor grew, the support evolved to larger scale, multi-year commitments. Not content with “same old, same old” approaches, the donor constructively challenged the Foundation to present funding opportunities which would set women and youth, primarily in the newcomer and Indigenous communities, on a path of self-sufficiency.
