Our fund was created and is supported through our use of Friendlier’s Reusable Packaging Solution. It allows us to donate the financial incentive to return containers for re-use. For those customers who choose to donate, the Red Apron manages the ‘incentive’ and directs the donation to our Community Fund and other worthwhile local charities.
The Red Apron has always given back to the community, specifically to organizations providing food to those who are underserved. We value the connection between food, human health, and the wellness of our community. Moving forward, the Red Apron Community Fund will look for ways to make a meaningful difference in these areas. Ottawa is a beautiful city with so much good happening and we’re proud to play our part.
