Janet is Manager with the Philanthropic Services and Community Building team where she works closely with donors through every step of their journey.  Before joining the Foundation in 2002, Janet worked in the technology sector and also at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. Earlier in her career she worked with special needs and autistic children in Toronto and studied behavior management techniques at the Option Institute in Massachusetts.  Janet has volunteered her time on several international projects, including the World Outreach Fellowship Building Project in Belize and the provision of potable water and medical care in Ghana with the Canadian International Development Agency.  According to Janet, she not only gets the chance to work with wonderful donors who want to give back to the community, but she also gets to interact with many great charities doing amazing work. She likes to spend as much free time outdoors as possible.
