INVESTING IN LOCAL YOUTH FOR FUTURE PROSPERITY: ENCOURAGING AND DEVELOPING YOUNG PEOPLE IN OTTAWA TO BE LEADERS IN OUR COMMUNITY.

For the past 20 years, Mindtrust Leadership has been providing youth with an opportunity to learn from leadership experts and connect with leaders from their own communities. Through discussions with educators, community leaders, and most importantly youth, we see a common need to help the youth of today be better prepared to be the leaders of tomorrow.

Leadership is a skill, and like any skill, it needs a foundation based on experience, practice, and mentorship. Our leadership experts have many years of experience working with youth, specializing in various aspects including leadership communication skills, conflict resolution, and leadership styles.

Our mentors are community leaders that come from all walks of life, including community organizations, as well as public and private sectors. Many of our mentors are graduates of a Mindtrust Leadership program who come back to support the next generation of leaders.

Our participants are primarily youth from our local communities – with diverse backgrounds and equally diverse aspirations for their futures. More than 1,200 young people have participated in our unique experiential program since 2005.
