Produced by PREZDENTIAL Basketball, The Overbrook Show is a new four-part series that takes a look at how sports, arts, and mentorship can transform a community. Led by Manock Lual, a former pro-basketball player who came to Canada as a refugee from South Sudan and grew up in Overbrook, PREZDENTIAL Basketball is committed to creating safe and dynamic spaces for BIPOC youth in the community and beyond. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the OCF provided support for Manock to continue his programming and recently funded high-impact programming for at-risk youth in Lowertown, in collaboration with BGC Ottawa and the Lowertown Community Resource Centre. New episodes will be released weekly in February on YouTube and on Rogers TV.
