Susan Scotti is the Executive Vice President at the Business Council of Canada. Prior to joining the Council in 2011, Susan was s senior executive with the Government of Canada for over 30 years. She last served as Senior Assistant Deputy Minister with Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and has also held senior positions in the Ministries of Canadian Heritage, Communications, Indian and Northern Affairs and the Privy Council Office where she was responsible for national policies and programs in areas as diverse as culture and broadcasting, the integration, and participation of ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, seniors, aboriginal land claims and public pensions.
Ms. Scotti is a board director of the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the chair of its policy and governance committee. She has served as Vice-Chair of the Ottawa Immigrant Community Services Organization (OCISO, and is the immediate past Chair of the Canadian Film Institute. She obtained the Chartered Director designation from the Directors’ College in 2014.
A graduate of the University of Toronto, Ms. Scotti holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Social Work degrees.
