Tim Brodhead was President and CEO of the McConnell Foundation from 1995 to 2011 and Interim President of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation from 2013-2014. Prior to that, Tim spent 25 years working in international development, first in West Africa and then as founding director of several NGOs. From 1987-1992 he was Executive Director of the Canadian Council for International Cooperation (CCIC), a national association of over 120 Canadian international development agencies.

Since retiring from McConnell, Tim has served on many not-for-profit boards, including Engineers Without Borders, The Natural Step, and Canadians for a New Partnership and others. Currently he sits on the boards of Reconciliation Canada, the Arctic Inspiration Prize, Tamarack Institute for Community Engagement, Shorefast Foundation, the Musagetes and  MaRS Solutions Lab advisory boards, and several foundations.

Tim has received five honourary degrees and in 2001 was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada.
