Tom Valks is the Chief Investment Officer with the University of Ottawa Pension Fund and Investment Management. Earlier in his career he was a senior investment manager and member of the national leadership team with CMHC, as well as a partner in a large investment management firm.
Throughout his career he has fulfilled a number of board and investment committee roles for a variety of investment companies and joint-ventures owned by institutional investors.
Tom is a long-time resident of Ottawa, together with his wife and two daughters. He is a CFA charter holder, has a CPA CMA designation and is a graduate from the HEAO-School in The Netherlands.
