Tools for Change Fund

Tools are expensive. Skills can be hard to access. And as products become harder to repair and more disposable, communities lose more than just money—they lose connection, self-reliance, and the ability to act on climate solutions close to home. In a world of rising costs and growing waste, the simple act of sharing tools and knowledge becomes a powerful tool for change.

Across our region, volunteers, makers, and neighbours are coming together to build a more circular, sustainable economy—one tool, one repair, one workshop at a time. This fund strengthens community ties by supporting programs that offer affordable access to tools, hands-on learning through workshops and repair cafés, and the joyful reuse of tools and equipment through seasonal garage sales.

By giving to the Tools for Change Fund, you’re investing in a resilient future—where everyone has the tools they need to build, fix, share, and thrive. Together, we’re repairing more than just objects. We’re repairing our connection to each other and the planet.
