Charities and Organizations
As the charity for charities, the Ottawa Community Foundation provides our asset management expertise and infrastructure to registered charitable organizations and nearby municipalities.
Organizational Funds allow registered charitable organizations to benefit from the Foundation’s professional endowment management expertise.
Regional Funds can be established by nearby municipalities that wish to support local charities and causes without incurring the costs and resources required to establish individual community foundations.

All funds within the Ottawa Community Foundation (OCF) support the charitable activities of qualified donees (as defined under the Income Tax Act) whose purposes are consistent with the objects of the OCF. The OCF retains final authority regarding all disbursements and management related to the Fund.
Your organization may be eligible for matching donations for endowments from Canadian Heritage through its Canada Cultural Investment Fund.
