Now more than ever, charities and non-profits are playing a key role in addressing persistent and complex social problems faced by all Canadians.

The Community Services Recovery Fund is a $400 million investment from the Government of Canada to support Community Service Organizations (CSOs) as they focus on how to adapt their organizations for pandemic recovery. CSOs include non-profit organizations, Indigenous Governing Bodies and Registered Charities located in Canada. Organizations will be able to apply through one of the three national funders: the Canadian Red CrossCommunity Foundations of Canada, and United Way Centraide Canada.

In concert with community foundations across Canada, the Ottawa Community Foundation will receive a portion of the Community Services Recovery Fund for CSOs in Ottawa. We are grateful for this opportunity to contribute to the potential for organizations to emerge in strength from the challenges of the past 2.5 years, and we are excited to support applicants in bringing forward strategic and impactful proposals.
