Scientists in School

Since 1989, Scientists In School has engaged over 10 million young scientists in hands-on STEM enrichment workshops and activities. The organization serves all of Canada. The Ottawa Community Foundation has been proud to support Scientists in School through Community Grants and Donor-Advised Grants with generous help from our fundholders.

Ottawa-Carleton Wildlife Centre

The Ottawa-Carleton Wildlife Centre raises awareness about the importance of maintaining wildlife and wildlife habitat, and living in harmony with nature. To mark its 35th anniversary, the centre created this video to highlight the progress they've made. The Ottawa Community Foundation has been a proud supporter over the years of this worthy cause and the leadership the Ottawa-Carleton Wildlife Centre continues to bring today.

OrKidstra – Hadi & Mariam’s Story

In this 2-minute version of OrKidstra's short documentary, hear from siblings Hadi and Mariam about how being part of the OrKidstra program helped them feel more connected to music and their community as new Canadians. The OCF, through its Community Grants Program and various donor-led funds, has been proud to support OrKidstra and its work.
