Substantial government funding was provided in 2020 to the charitable and not-for-profit sector to address pressing well-being and social inclusion impacts of CoVID on vulnerable populations. Some of this funding came with a spending end-date of March 31, 2021.

The OCF conducted a survey to gain a clearer understanding of how this situation might affect services and clients. Of the 86 organizations that responded to the survey, 32 (37%) indicated that they were reasonably well positioned to continue to meet the urgent needs of their clients.

The following key results are based on the responses of the 54 respondents who indicated their services/clients would be affected.
