Phyllis was an only child to Karl and Kay Chamberlain and had no children of her own. This Fund gives an opportunity to the Chamberlain family name to live on in Ottawa. Phyllis enjoyed travelling, meeting new people, and making new friends. She worked at Ottawa Hydro for over 30 years and was a treasured “Aunt” to many children in her extended family. She delighted being in the company of children, her extended family, and her dear friends. Phyllis has a warm and gentle demeanor, wonderful sense of humour, and made everyone feel like a million bucks!
The Fund honours Phyllis Chamberlain’s legacy. Donations to the Fund help community organizations which encourage friendship and serve less fortunate children and seniors. Since its inception in 2007, the Chamberlain Family Fund has contributed to organizations like the BGC Ottawa, Good Companions, and Elizabeth Bruyere (Connecting Canadians) to name a few.
