Glennis Lane

Glennis happily works as an Associate with the Philanthropic Services and Community Building team.

Before joining the Ottawa Community Foundation, Glennis spent 33 rewarding years in the broadcast industry. She has worked across Canada in various media roles including hosting daily radio shows, managing promotional, marketing, and contesting campaigns, and most recently as the News and Program Director of City News Ottawa, managing all aspects of an award-winning news, talk radio station.

Her time spent in media gave her the opportunity to partner with many charitable organizations helping them to execute successful fundraising and marketing campaigns. Glennis worked with the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation in Victoria on the execution of four Radiothon for Kids events that helped raise thousands of dollars for the foundation. She has a passion for mentoring young broadcasters and journalists and is a member of the Algonquin College Journalism Advisory Board. Glennis has also volunteered with Scouts Canada and Military Family Resource Centres during her 26 years as a Canadian Forces spouse.

In her leisure time, Glennis enjoys nature walks with her dogs, gardening, and reading.
