“There we were as a family actually building our own home side-by-side with other volunteers who were there to help us. Habitat for Humanity Thousand Islands made all of the retrofits to accommodate Jordon’s needs. Doorways were wider, countertops were at a height that he needed and he had room to turn his chair completely around in any room of the house. Habitat listened to our needs and put in extra supports for a lift for Jordon.  Talk about going the extra mile!”
