Rayna joined the Ottawa Community Foundation in February 2021 as a Financial Associate, responsible for incoming donations–collecting, recording, and issuing tax receipts. She is a highly motivated, flexible, detail and result-oriented individual. Rayna has extensive experience in accounting and holds a diploma with a bachelor’s degree.
Rayna’s excellent organizational, analytical, and logical thinking skills created a good strategy in OCF to manage her day-to-day financial duty operations.
She is passionate about music and dances and has been a leader of a Bulgarian Folk Dancing Group for 22 years. The group mission is to preserve the beauty of Bulgarian traditions, dances, and songs and to make them more well-known in the National Capital Region. As an Art Director of the group, she was awarded with two medals: Golden Age, from the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture and Heritage and from the Agency for the Bulgarians Aboard.
Her motto in life is “Train your mind to see the good in every situation”.
