
Grace Xin deftly navigates the intersection between the business and non-profit worlds. As a former business executive, she is no stranger to building partnerships, managing major projects, and collaborating to achieve concrete results.
Before joining the charitable sector, Grace’s work in the Canadian tourism industry took her to every province and territory in Canada, making her an extremely proud Canadian. Now, she is grateful to work with the Ottawa Community Foundation team, helping to make it a premier destination, guide, and companion for philanthropic endeavors.
Grace has also left a lasting impact in Ottawa. In 2010, Ottawa Life Magazine named her one of the city’s top fifty people for leading the Chinatown Gateway project—a joint Ottawa-Beijing initiative. Grace managed an international team that raised funds and completed the stunning arch, which won the prestigious “Project of the Year” award from the American Public Works Association in 2011.
In 2021, Grace was inducted into the Order of Ottawa, recognizing her significant contributions to the city.
Grace holds a bachelor’s degree in physics (Photonics) from Shandong University in China, an MBA from the University of Ottawa, and the designation of Master of Financial Advisor-Philanthropy (MFA-P). She also completed the Bequest Administration Essentials course through the CAGP Foundation in 2024 and the NFP Governance Essentials Program from the Institute of Corporate Directors and the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management in 2022.
Grace is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
